Male Wood Duck Portrait
Taken in the springtime. They should all be looking like this now after the fall eclipse.

Wood Duck on The Wing
Stopped by Oliver Woods Marsh today to get a few shots of the male wood ducks.

Wings Up Version (Wood Duck)
A bit of a busy background but worth zooming in for the detail. Flickr folks please left click to zoom.

A Better Background (Wood Duck)
Another one of my signature wing down images. In this shot the wood duck drake is in full flight. Nice colors in the background and perhaps a little less busy. Not sure which image I like better. You be the judge.

Wings Down Wood Duck
A male wood duck explodes off of the water at Brookwood Marsh today.

Handsome Dude!
The wood ducks were putting on a pretty good show again today at Brookwood Marsh in Nanaimo.

Full Body Portrait
Here is a full body view of one of the male wood ducks at Brookwood Marsh. Unfortunately I couldn't get much more in focus at 840mm and such a close distance. Guess I really should have switched to the 70-200mm. Pretty hard to change once you have experienced the clarity of the 600mm IS 2 + 1.4X though.

Wood Duck Portrait
Don't know what's wrong with the wood ducks at Brookwood lately. Just can't get them to come any closer. Make sure you check this one out at the larger sizes.

I never get tired of photographing these guys at Brookwood Marsh. They seem to come closer every year.
