Mount Benson Background (Peregrine Falcon)
Took this out at the estuary a couple of days back. He sat in the big oak tree near the parking lot.
Falcon Attack!
The local peregrine falcon hammers into a green teal duck at the Nanaimo Estuary. Sorry about the resolution on this one. Poor light and kind of far away.
Estuary Peregrine
Caught an image of the young estuary peregrine as he harassed the kingfisher today. Came by pretty close for a change. Could have done with a bit more light and perhaps a faster shutter speed but it all happened so fast that there was no time to do anything but track and shoot. Still all in all it didn't come out too bad.
