Common Golden Eye Clash
A pair of male common golden eye ducks tussle over a female at Piper's Lagoon in Nanaimo. Both barrows golden eye and common golden eye frequent the sea shore this time of year. Note the head color. Male common golden eyes have a green head where as the barrows have a blue-purple color and the white patern on their wings is somewhat different.
